About Our School:
LES is a small school with an enrollment of approximately 140 students with one class per grade, ranging from PreK to grade 6. Our core academics is supplemented by specialized programs for tiered support and enhanced by our Greenhouse program, outdoor learning opportunities, and integration of other activities and resources from the community.

Education Support Professional / Paraprofessional
(Two Full Time, Benefits-Eligible positions )

  • One opening is for upper grades and one is for lower grades. Aside from your main assignment which would include working with students, this role includes supporting school duties like lunch/recess, helping with coverages, and other tasks as needed. 

  • Strong record of attendance, flexible mindset, professionalism, and ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff are preferred. 

  • License and college degree are not required but experience working with children and students with special needs is preferred. 

Start date: August 24, 2026

The ESP/paraprofessional hours are Monday to Friday 8am-3pm, 185 days plus 12 or 13 paid holidays. The ESP/paraprofessional salary schedule according to the LES/LSC Agreement ranges from $20.75- $25.82 per hour for the 2026-2027 school year with a 4% increase the following year. There is an additional $250 annually for Associates Degree and $500 for Bachelor's Degree after degree completion is verified. Step placement on the salary scale is based on verified levels of relevant experience and prorated for the remaining work days of this school year. This is a full time, benefits eligible position.
